Hug a Person with Cancer Today!
I was bouncing around on the internet this morning, visiting my regular cancer-related websites (I spend a fair amount of time doing this kind of thing while Finn takes his morning nap) when I found a report on a new study, courtesy of The Onion, that some of you might be interested in: having a friend with cancer can improve your own health by inspiring you to participate in fundraising activities, like 10k runs, on your friend's behalf. So how many of you are planning to run a marathon for me? It's the ultimate way to demonstrate your commitment to the fight against cancer - and it's good for you, too!

omg! i love the line, "after my friend dies, i hope to find someone with leukemia. i know they have a swim."
Well, I'm not sure if you know this, but I don't run...especially marathons, but I've done cancer walks in the past and hope to do a few more for you this year! Thinking of you always!
Love,
Erin
This just cracks me up. I *lurve* the Onion. :) Now, if only I could run more than a mile on these knees!
Hi Sara, I came across your blog today since I think I have thrombocytosis and an undiagnosed vitamin B deficiency. I am a 52-year-old mom in Brooklyn with two sons. You are a wonderful writer and I would like to stay in touch as you go through all this. I blog about spirituality, yoga, meditation, healthy living at Chatteringmind.com
Blissings, Amy
